Deep down and Kinky

David Lynch, maverick US film director has collaborated with the French shoe designer Christian Louboutin to create Fetish.

For me, the shoe is the very essence of fetishism. While I absolutely love corsets, shoes are actually the closest thing to the dictionary definition of a fetish item, an item imbued with some magical, mystical power. A woman's high-heeled shoe transcends its function, it can exist as a sexual item in its own right, without a hint of a woman's foot.

Obviously , these aren't shoes that you can walk in. The heels are extremely high, stretching the leg and tensing the calf muscle beyond everyday practicality. But then fetishism isn't about the everyday is it? To model the shoes, Lynch had to recruit two dancers, Nouka and Baby, from the Crazy Horse (the famous strip club) revue in Paris. Only they had the poise and ability to model the shoes.  What do you think?
